Conserval Wins 2009 Technology Award for SolarWall®

Buffalo, NY; November 23, 2009—Conserval Systems Inc. of Buffalo, New York has been awarded the 2009 Technology Award by the Amherst Chamber of Commerce.  The award was presented to Conserval at a black-tie dinner on October 26, 2009 at the Buffalo Niagara Marriot with over 500 guests in attendance.  Other award winners included the University of Buffalo.

Conserval was honored for their development of the SolarWall® technology and the commercialization of solar air heating around the world.  In her description of the various honorees, WIVB-TV News Anchor and Mistress of Ceremonies Jacquie Walker referenced the extensive history of Conserval in the solar energy industry and the technological excellence of the SolarWall® offerings.

Conserval was also honored with a Certificate of Recognition from New York Governor David Paterson for their "outstanding achievement". 

Other accolades presented at the awards ceremony included a New York State Assembly Citation recognizing Conserval as one of "our state’s finest business", and a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition for "outstanding and invaluable service to the community".

The SolarWall® technology was developed by Conserval and has set the global standard for solar air heating in commercial and industrial buildings. It received commendation when it was developed from both Natural Resources Canada and the U.S. Department of Energy, and has been used in 30+ countries around the world by private and public sector organizations like the US Army, Canadian Government, NASA, Ford, FedEx, Owens Corning, Wal-Mart and 3M.
