What is Solar Air Heating?

The SolarWall® technology is a patented solar air heating system that heats building ventilation air. It delivers one of the fastest ROIs possible for a solar technology in the commercial and industrial sector because it substantially offsets the traditional heating load.  The SolarWall system can be used on walls or roofs for a variety of uses and applications, from solar heating buildings, to agricultural and manufacturing process drying. Architects and engineers enjoy the fact that SolarWall generates LEED points and is a significant source of greenhouse gas displacement. Learn how SolarWall solar air heating works.

What is PV/T (PV + Solar Thermal)?

A PV/Thermal system is a total energy solution that produces both heat (solar thermal heating) and electricity (PV) from the same surface area.  Pairing SolarWall® with PV significantly reduces the payback period associated with a PV system, while maximizing the CO2 displacement. The technology is now available in a modular rooftop system called SolarDuct PV/T, where the thermal panels double as the racking system for the PV.

About Conserval Engineering

Conserval Engineering has been delivering custom engineered renewable energy solutions throughout the world for over 30 years.  We are the company that developed and commercialized solar air heating for commercial, industrial, institutional, and agricultural applications. The technology we invented, known as "SolarWall", was praised by the U.S. Department of Energy as being in the “top two percent of energy related inventions”.  As this technology came to define the global solar air heating sector because of its efficiency and return on investment, our new PV/thermal technology also promises to shift the technological paradigm in terms of solar cogeneration systems. Clients have included private and public sector organizations like the US Army, Canadian Government, NASA, Ford, FedEx, Wal-Mart and 3M, as well as over 1000 others on five continents.
